Adding a Section
Follow these steps to add a new section to your site.
From the Dashboard
- Click on "Pages" in the left navigation.
- From the home section (the top bar), click "Add Section".
- In the "Basic Information" box type in a name (use sentence capitalization).
- Save. (The new section will automatically redirect you to create its first page.)
- Click back to "Pages". The new section is at the end of all the pages and sections in the website.
- To reorder the section click, drag, and drop the bar of the new section to the position you want it.
Section within a Section
It is possible to have a section within a section.
You might want to do this, for example, if there are a number of pages with research information that are relevant only for undergraduates. You could group those pages into a section "Research" within the section "Undergraduate".
A page in this section called “Documenting Sources” would have this URL:
departmentname.gmu.edu /undergraduate/research/documenting-sources

- On the section bar in which you want to create a section, click on "Add Section".
- In the "Basic Info" box type in a name (use sentence capitalization).
- Save. You will automatically be redirected to create a new page within the section you just created.
- To reorder the section click, drag, and drop the bar of the new section to the position you want it.
