What Can I Edit?

Program Edit Page

If you are an editor on the site that owns a program, you may edit all program information except for catalog copy and graduate admissions information. The system updates catalog information each year when the new catalog is published. CHSS graduate admissions manages graduate admissions information for all programs.

We use the program information to display programs on multiple sites and in different contexts: long listings on the college site, shorter optional listings on department and program sites, in content blocks, and, ultimately as complex, detailed brochures describing your programs.

You know your programs best, so you have control over how you present your programs.

How Can I Edit My Program?

Each program consists of a number of fields and associated data such as student profiles and faculty/staff contact information. The Program edit page presents those fields in groups based on how they are displayed to the public. This help document follows that structure, with a page describing each of these groups.

What Does It Look Like If I Don't Edit My Program?

All programs start out with the core information from the catalog: the catalog description and requirements. Your unedited program listings are functional but you can do so much more.

How Far Can I Take It?

Pretty far. You can add basic promotional text, sure, but you can add images, movies, well-thought-out promotional information, student profiles, alumni profiles, and much more. This section of the help documentation takes you through the possibilities. And if you need additional help, the CHSSWeb Team is always there.
